BiosAlex Puls YAG is the new laser system from Bios designed to settle once and for all the problem of unwanted hair on all skin types almost painlessly. BiosAlex Puls YAG uses the unique BEM technology (Blended Emission Mode): thanks to the combined action of a long pulse Alexandrite (755nm)  and Nd: YAG laser long and short pulse (1064nm), the physician can choose between three different alternatives for use, according to the patient and the type of hair to be treated. In fact, you can use a single type of laser or both, combined or in sequence and set the flow, pulse duration, spot diameter and sequence pause time.

The laser works to remove unwanted hair by producing a beam of highly concentrated light that is scanned across an area of the body. The pigment within the hair follicles of that area absorbs the light emitted by the laser. The laser pulses for a fraction of a second, just long enough to vaporize the pigment, disabling several follicles at a time to eliminate or significantly impede the hair re-growth. Hair grows in cycles, and in any given area on the body you may have various hairs all at different phases of the cycle. With laser hair removal, only the hair follicles that are in the active growth phase will be most affected.

The number of sessions you will need is dependent on a number of factors. Some of these factors are your hair color (darker hair requires less sessions), your skin pigmentation (dark skin may require more sessions), your hair density, your hormonal status, and whether or not you are on medication (some medicines can increase hair growth).
